WA Web Plus ("WA Web Plus", "we", "our", or "the extension") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension processes, how it is used, and when it may be shared with third-party service providers.
Blur, screen lock and deleted-message viewing work entirely in your browser
We never receive your messages, contacts, or media
Translation, accounts, feedback and analytics are the only things that leave — each one is listed below
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or profiling
WA Web Plus operates primarily within your browser and may process content displayed on WhatsApp Web to provide user-requested features, including:
This processing is necessary to provide the extension’s visible features. Except for the external services described below, WhatsApp content is processed locally in your browser. WA Web Plus is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.
The extension may store the following information using Chrome’s local or synchronized storage:
Most extension data remains on your device. Certain preferences may be synchronized through Chrome Sync when synchronization is enabled in your browser and Google account. Local extension data can generally be removed by clearing the extension’s storage or uninstalling the extension. Synced data may also need to be removed through your browser or Google account settings.
When you manually request translation or enable automatic chat translation, the relevant message text is sent to Google Translate so that the translated result can be returned. We do not use translated message content for advertising, profiling, or analytics. We do not intentionally store translated message content on our own servers.
Google may receive the submitted text and standard technical request information, such as your IP address and request metadata. Google processes this information according to the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent message text from being sent for translation by disabling the translation feature.
WA Web Plus uses Google Analytics to understand extension usage and improve its features, performance, security, and reliability. Analytics information may include:

Please do not include passwords, payment information, authentication tokens, or unnecessary sensitive information in feedback submissions. We use submitted feedback only to provide support, investigate problems, and improve WA Web Plus.

Where available, voice-to-text processing is performed locally in your browser using an on-device model. The extension may download the required model files from a model-hosting service. Voice recordings are not intentionally uploaded to our servers for transcription.
The model-hosting provider may receive standard network information, such as your IP address and technical request metadata, when model files are downloaded.
